SAM TOVUT - Managing Director
Sam Tovut holds a bachelor degree in Business Administration from University of Papua New Guinea and having 10 years of experience with various companies in PNG, started his own business from 2013.​
2016: present Bismark Pilot Services
Expanding the business operations, ventured in to new business - providing piloting services to the domestic & internal ships. Started the operations in April 2016 at Rabaul and further expanded to Kimbe, Port Moresby and Wewak. BPS is making an average turnover of K 200,000.00 per month.

2014: present Zap Fuel Distributor Ltd Group of Companies
With Hands of experience in the Construction, Project Management, Security Escorts & Hire Car business and well succeeded with the business, ventured in to Fuel Wholesale & retail business in 2014 and started Zap Fuel Distributor Ltd in 03rd of April 2014. Managed to tie up with PNG POWER LTD and NIUGINI OIL COMPANY started fuel business based at Rabaul and branches in Alotau, Kimbe, Lae, Port Moresby, Rabaul and Vanimo. Zap Fuel Distributor Ltd made a turnover of K 3,2 million in 2015 & K 2.7 million in 2016.

2013:present Chief’s Guard Limited Group of Companies
Established Chief’s Guard Ltd as a company in October 2013 on positive note with experience in Construction & Hire Car business. Chief’s Guard Ltd started it’s business with Security & Escort Services based at Rabaul.

Zap Security is the business division under CGL providing security and escort services in Kimbe. Lae, Port Moresby and Rabaul making an annual turnover of
K 150,000.00. Zap Hire & Escort Services is an another division under CGL registered during July 2014 and started business operations from Feb 2016 which made a turnover of K 2.0 million in the same year.

CAPTAIN STEPHEN PALAKA
Marine Chief Pilot Operations

Stephen Palaka joined Bismark Pilot Services in 2016 and has been appointed as Marine Chief Pilot Operations. As experienced from 2005 Following 10 years at sea, Stephen Palaka diversified into the maritime industry undertaking a variety of roles in both around Papua New Guinea and abroad. He was appointed to the Board in 2016. He started his seagoing career in 2005 and progressed through to chief officer. Stephen Palaka has management experience in a number of ports which included bulk loading and discharge, stevedoring, general cargo, port maintenance, agency, towage and pilotage operations. He holds a Papua New Guinea Class 01 Marine pilot Licence PLF 009 (CERB NO: 05741) Certificate of Competency and a Graduate PNG Maritime College (Class 2 Mate of Competency). Stephen Palaka was attended Caution Bay PNG LNG Terminal Pilot Development Program through Smartship Maritime Simulations & attended the course on Practical Pilotage attachment & shipping simulation Training with PSA Marine Singapore. Captain Stephen is also one of the few specialized PNG LNG Pilots who are piloting LNG Gas Tankers at Exxon Mobil Production Terminal and Site at Caution Bay, Port Moresby.

CAPT ROBERT SASSUS TOURURU
Marine Pilot
Captain Robert Sassus Toururu served on various vessels including, bulk ore carriers, general cargo ships, container vessels, tank ships and survey vessels as a deck cadet officer and rose up the ranks to Master. All these spread out since joining the Maritime Profession back in 1994 as a deck cadet officer after preliminary sea training at Maritime College in Madang. Captain Toururu served as Master from the year 2000 to 2005 on various P&O Ships before leaving P&O in December 2005 to join Consort Express Lines Ltd on February 2006.

Today, Captain Robert Sassus Toururu holds a valid Class One (1) Marine Pilot License and is a Specialist PNG LNG Pilot. His previous positions with PNG Ports Corporation Limited were Senior Marine Pilot, Pilot In Charge (PIC) Lae Port and Officer In Charge (OIC) Northern Regional Ports before teaming up with Bismark Pilot Services. Captain has a great wealth of experiences, knowledge and expertise in PNG Coastal Pilotage business and Marine Operations.

CAPT DAVID YAGLMITNA
Marine Pilot
David Yaglmitna joined Bismark Pilot Services in 2016 and has been appointed as Marine Pilot Operations. As experienced from 1998 following 18 years at sea, 3 years served as Ship’s captain with Consort Express Lines, 2011 to 2014. In 2015 he joined PNG Marine Ltd (PNGPCL) as Marine Pilot and obtained his Class 2 Pilot License for all ports. David Yaglmitna holds a STCW95 Certificate of Competency Class 1 Master unlimited license. He has management experience in a number of ports which included bulk loading and discharge, stevedoring, general cargo, port maintenance, agency, towage and pilotage operations.

NAZEER AHAMED AZEEZ
Operation Manager (Port Moresby)
Nazeer Ahmed Azeez holds a MBA in Marketing and he is having over 5 years of working experience in Papua New Guinea in the field of Sales & Marketing. The companies earlier worked in Papua New Guinea are Sarakolok West Transport Ltd, Vanimo and NH Trading Ltd Rabaul, East New Britain. Prior to start working in PNG his last position was a Marketing Manager for 7 years with Lucky way Paper Products Ltd in India
